After eight days of shows in the City of Light, Paris Fashion Week has come to a close.

Lithuanian designer Juozas Statkevičius brought the wow factor with his collection of well-tailored and magnifying pieces, as both Statkevičius and designer Tony Ward took inspiration from cinema history this season. Wild Rose & Sparrow held a ballet-core-themed show at the Théâtre du Gymnase Marie Bell; with risqué silhouettes, the brand’s co-founder Ariana Dancu wanted to create a collection inspired by female confidence and self-expression.

Christian Siriano’s leather looks are to-die-for after coming off the New York Fashion Week runway, Chloé bohemian inspired collection is oh-so-dreamy, and Casablanca’s luxury street style collection inspired by countercultural Los Angeles is original. And let’s not lose sight of Kilian Paris’ newest fragrance launch of “Old Fashioned,” with Emily in Paris’ Lucien Laviscount as its face — the smoothest cocktail-esque perfume you’ll ever smell.

There are so many celebs expected to attend the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards and we’re recapping every star spotted on the red carpet!

The VMAs are being held this year on Wednesday (September 11) at the Ubs Arena in Elmont, New York.

She once mentioned feeling like a “shrimp” in an interview due to her height, although she believed it was average. For context, the average American woman typically has a height of around 5 feet 4 inches.

Lebanese designer Elie Saab, with headquarters in Paris, has been worn by Mandy Moore (Critics Choice), Reese Witherspoon (SAG Awards), Emily Blunt (BAFTAs) and Hailee Steinfeld (Oscars) in recent weeks.

Beirut-based duo Azzi & Osta dressed Veronica Ferres for The Golden Globes, while Zuhair Murad, also based in Beirut, has been seen on Maitreyi Ramakrishnan (at the Oscars), Allison Williams (Critics Choice), Zawe Ashton (Emmys) and Jennifer Lopez (for her This is Me… Now: A Love Story L.A.

Netflix is about to make its Broadway producing debut, joining the team of Peter Morgan’s upcoming play Patriots.

The play from the creator of the Netflix signature series The Crown arrives on Broadway April 1 for a 12-week engagement following a record-breaking run at London’s Almeida Theatre and a sold-out 12-week West End transfer at the Noël Coward Theatre. Opening night at Broadway’s Ethel Barrymore Theatre is April 22.

The play is set in 1991 after the fall of the Soviet Union and chronicles the rise of oligarchs like billionaire Boris Berezovsky (Michael Stuhlbarg) and a little-known deputy mayor of St. Petersburg named Vladimir Putin (Will Keen). When an eventual successor to President Boris Yeltsin is needed, Berezovsky turns to Putin, whose ruthless rise threatens Berezovsky’s reign and sets off a confrontation between the two powerful, fatally flawed men.

The 2024 Governors Awards brought out so many stars for the big event!

Stars including Margot Robbie, Florence Pugh, Leonardo DiCaprio, Zac Efron, and hit the red carpet at the 14th annual event on Tuesday evening (January 9) held at The Ray Dolby Ballroom in Hollywood, Calif.

During this year’s Governors Awards, Angela Bassett, filmmaker Mel Brooks, Sundance Institute’s Michelle Satter, and editor Carol Littleton will all be awarded honorary Oscars for their contributions to the film industry.

The 2023 Academy Museum Gala brought out well over 100 celebrities on Sunday night (December 3)!

Stars like Lupita Nyong’o, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner and Natalie Portman hit the red carpet at the third annual event.

The Academy Museum Gala is a fundraising event for the museum, raising “funds to support the organization’s museum exhibitions, education initiatives and public programming,” according to Variety.

Alia Bhatt turned out to be the star of an awards night in a strapless black gown on Thursday. The actor not just ruled the red carpet in terms of style and looks but also bagged the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) award at the Filmfare awards.

She won the trophy for her performance in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Alia looked stunning in the black Tony Ward gown with a hint of shimmer. She was styled by stylist-producer Rhea Kapoor. The latter shared pictures of Alia’s look on her Instagram account and wrote, “@aliaabhatt tonight for @filmfare, giving me instantly classic movie star moments.” She had her hair neatly tied at the back.

Alia is now all set to make her debut at the upcoming Met Gala and with her recent appearances on the red carpet, she has already raised the expectations of her fans.

While storytelling is something we value deeply in the shows we watch, we often look to the key actors of these narratives as one of their ultimate signs of success. Some of our favorite shows thus far this year have owed so much to some staggering acting work. With two inevitable exceptions, we limited this overview to one performance per show, one role per actor. But there was some incredible range to be found in that work, which makes us excited for what the rest of 2017 has in store.

The Arsenio Hall Show has been renewed for a second season.

Justin Hartley has joined the cast of the ABC comedy pilot Damaged Goods. The pilot, from Awkward. creator Lauren Iungerich, is a relationship comedy about two damaged men and two damaged women with Hartley playing a man who can’t handle his girlfriend getting the promotion he was pursuing. I think I prefer to see him playing a guy who is dating an tech billionaire with a vengeful pal.

In a sadly unsurprising development, the Biography channel is revamping into Fyi Network, which will feature upscale lifestyle programming.

Empire, the hip-hop drama pilot from Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, added to its cast Person of Interest alum Taraji P. Henson. She’ll play the wife of the drama’s music mogul, a woman who has done prison time for selling drugs to keep her husband’s music label...

Deadline reports that NBC is developing a sequel series to Remington Steele, which would follow Olivia Holt, Remington and Laura‘s daughter, as she reopens the Remington Steele Detective Agency. This version is planned as a half-hour comedy but promises a similar mix of comedy, romance and mystery.

After two episodes, CBS has cancelled We Are Men. 2 Broke Girls, which has seen ratings dive this season, will move in its place. A Big Bang Theory repeat will function as a lead-in to Mom until November, when Mike & Molly returns to the schedule.

I'm just thrilled at the news that Jonathan Del Arco has been promoted to a series regular for the second season of Major Crimes. Dr. Morales has been way too much fun for the little screen time he's gotten, so I've been hoping this would happen.

Last night, Ed Schultz announced that his show is moving to a two-hour weekend time slot next month, which opens up a major prime time slot on the news channel. If I'm reading the New York Times' item correctly, the new prime time host could be announced later this morning, with Chris Hayes, Ezra Klein and Joy Reid mentioned as front runners. That might explain why Klein has been making so many guest-hosting appearances lately.

Meanwhile, Kyle Sandilands also won again, with The Kyle & Jackie O Show picking up best networked program.

I know we're only a couple of weeks into the fall television season, but it seems like there is already a fair bit to say about what is working ... and what isn't.

First the bad news for the two of you watching ABC's The Whole Truth. While it won't be the first show to get canceled (hello, Lone Star and My Generation!) it looks pretty well doomed. Which is a shame as Alejo (Anthony Ruviviar) is pretty great and last week's episode not only featured a funny moment in a strip club where he made it very clear he wasn't interested in the ladies shaking their bon-bons, but the episode also frequently referenced the fact Alejo is gay in completely casual ways. It truly seems like a shame we're never going to get to see where this character might have gone.

It's Cheyenne On Glee! Squeeeee!

I thought I'd start of this week's column with some fun new pics I found recently!

First, I've got the exclusive first look at Cheyenne Jackson's first appearance on Glee as Will Schuester's new rival Dustin Goulsby.

In case you don't remember, last month Glee creator Ryan Murphy told me that Jackson "...is going to sing. He is going to dance, of course. He is the new coach of Vocal Adrenaline. He’s a complete villain. He wears all black. He’s a handsome, villain who will become very intertwined in Will’s life."

And we can't wait for Cheyenne's appearance on Tuesday's ep!

Speaking of things I can't wait for is new Torchwood miniseries (Ha! Whoever threw the rotten cabbage at me missed!) so to tide us over are two new pics I spotted of John Barrowman.

Adam Lambert (Sort Of) Kissed A Girl ... And No One Could Stop Talking About It

The big gay news of the week is that one big gay icon did something not so gay and set the gay blogosphere abuzz. That's right, Adam Lambert posed for some racy pictures with a nekkid girl and the reaction of our readers was all over the place as demonstrated by the nearly 70 comments folks posted. Our follow-up poll the next day registered nearly 2,000 votes and generated another 50+ comments.

As for the poll results — it was a dead heat with 41% of folks loving the pics and 41% saying "Ew" and believing that someone was trying to give Adam a "hetero" make-over. I'll say one thing; you folks had a ton of passionate, mostly articulate things to say about the topic.

This week Huffington Post blogger Ryan Grim reported that a new book coming out about President George Bush includes the fact that Bush declined to denounce same-sex marriage in his commencement speech at Furman University in 2008 because he wasn't "...going to tell some gay kid in the audience that he can't get married."

No, he was just going to get elected by demonizing the gay kid, and every other 'mo in the country, by allowing henchman Karl Rove to orchestrate two of the most anti-gay presidential campaigns ever run in the U.S. Two campaigns the fueled a wave of constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriage across America.

But, hey, Bush wouldn't actually deliver the bad news to the gay college kid himself because he's such a stand up guy.
